ASA NER Senior/Youth 2009 Report
A small group of swimmers from Rotherham Metro went to the above gala that was held on the 2nd and 3rd of May. This is a challenging Gala as all the top clubs attend, mainly for their swimmers to achieve National times. Dale Waterhouse met the challenge once again, by achieving national times in the 100m Breast and 200m IM. He received Silver medals in the 100m Breast and 200m Breast and then 3 Bronze medals in the 200m IM, 100m Freestyle and 50m Breast. Other finalists were Daniel Mclean who came 6th in the 100m Backstroke, 7th in the 50m Back and Simon Worne finished 8th in the 50m Fly.
The 400m Individual Medley team came a well deserved fifth, the team consisted of Thomas Nelson, Dale Waterhouse, Simon Worne and Daniel Mclean. The team also finished 6th in the 400m Free, this comprised of Aaron Waterhouse, Dale Waterhouse, Simon Worne and Daniel Mclean.
